Join us for a special evening celebrating 70 years of friendship between San Diego and Yokohama, Japan, and the enduring international partnerships that connect San Diego with communities around the world.
As a signature event of the 2026 Sister Cities Festival, this anniversary reception brings together civic leaders, international delegates, business professionals, cultural organizations, and community members to honor decades of friendship, cultural exchange, and international cooperation.
The evening will also recognize milestone anniversaries among San Diego’s sister city partners, including Perth, Australia (40 years), and Tema, Ghana (50 years), celebrating the global relationships that enrich our communities.
Enjoy an evening of international cuisine, live entertainment, cultural experiences, and meaningful connections, along with special recognitions honoring individuals and organizations whose contributions have strengthened our sister city relationships.
